Inspired by a morning meltdown of our own, I had to share a few suggestions to help reset and start your day off well.
What I’ve learned from countless meltdowns over the years, be it my elementary school students, my kids, or my own occasional outbursts, is that I can usually see it coming based on the environment, lack of planning, noise level of the room, lack of sleep, hormone changes, growth spurts, lack of food or physical activity, amount of screentime, too much or not enough sun, etc. and I need to take responsibility for my part in it.
Some things I’ve learned to get to that reset that might help if you are in this boat: validate the person’s feelings (even if you completely disagree with their thinking), consider their love language so you can truly reach their hearts, & so much more I’m sharing in this episode.
